   Wednesday, May 23

  • Poultry Judging Contest - Nuckolls Co Fairground - Nelson. Registration - 1:00 PM, Clinic - 1:15 PM and Judging Contest begins 2:30 PM

   Thursday, May 31

  • Food Review Contest - Adams County Fairgrounds - North End. Set up 1:00 PM , Contest begins 2:00 PM
  • Family Consumer Science ( FCS ) Judging Contest ( held during the Food Review Contest )

   Sunday, June 10

  • Presentation Contest – 2:00 PM – Assembly Room, Adams County Office Building

   Friday, June 15 

  • ALL REQUIRED PRE-ENTRIESfor Fair are due in the Extension Office by 5:00 PM on all Livestock, Companion Animals, Showmanship Classes ( all animals ), Sheep Lead Contest Entries and Narratives, Fashion Show and Narratives, Ice Cream in a Can, and Golf Tournament. Cloveer Kids Events: Ice Cream in a Bag, Pole Bending, Barrel Racing and Dog Obedience Exhibition.
  • HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to have Pre-Entry Sheets turned into the Extension Office (this will save you from standing in line for your entry tags at the Fair) on Static Entries and Entomology / Insect ID Contest, Livestock Judging Contest, Dog Skillathon Contest.

  Monday, July 16

  • 4-H ENTRY DAY – ALL 4-H Static exhibits except clothing must be entered between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM at the Fairgrounds.
  • FLOWER BARREL CONTEST ENTRIES - must enter between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM in the Activities Center - west side Breezeway.
  • INTERVIEW JUDGING will be conducted during the day in the Activities Center for those 4-H'ers who have arranged an interview time. Areas of Interview Judging are all areas but Foods and Food Preservation.
  • SHOW & TELL will be conducted when Clover Kids enter their exhibits 
  • 4-H FOOD SALE will be held from 12:00 AM – 4:00 PM – Middle section of Activities Center.
  • OPEN CLASS – Enter all Open Class exhibits – East End of Activities Center - Noon to 8:00 PM.

  Tuesday, July 17

  • LIVESTOCK must be entered and stalled according to 4-H Council guidelines. SHEEP, MEAT GOATS, SWINE, and BEEF (except Cow-calf pairs & Stocker feeders) must be entered and stalled by weigh in time on Tuesday Entry Day.  Animals cannot be stalled before 12:00 noon on Tuesday Entry Day.  
  • WEIGH IN TIMES OF ANIMALS – Sheep, Meat Goats and Swine weighing will start at 4:00 PM until 6:30 PM (Sheep & Goats weighed together) or until the last pre-entered animal is weighed, whichever comes first.  Beef will begin weighing in at 8:00 PM.
  • 4-H POULTRY AND RABBITS must be entered between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Tuesday Entry Day (except for Market Broilers).  MARKET BROILERS: can begin being entered at 7:00 AM but must be entered by 7:45 AM on show day, Friday, July 20th.
  • PYGMY GOATS check-in time 7:00 – 7:45 AM on show day, Saturday, July 21th.
  • HORSES that are being stalled on the fairgrounds must be entered by 8:00 PM on Tuesday’s Entry Day. All other horses must be on the grounds at least one hour prior to the beginning of the show for check-in on Show Day.
  • Carcass Record Books Deadline - Turn in by 8:00 PM to the 4-H Livestock Office

  Friday, July 27

  • Entry post cards for State Fair 4-H Static Exhibits due in the Adams County Extension Office by 5:00 PM
  • State Fair  4-H  Entries and Entry Fees for Presentation, Fashion Show, Judging Contest, Beef, Sheep,Swine,Dogs, Rabits, Poultry, Cats, Small Animals and all other contests due in the Adams County Extension Office by 5:00 PM
